Northern Health is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join the medical staff in Kitimat, BC. There is currently a need for approximately 0.4 FTE. If you have passion for rural healthcare and desire to experience the Pacific Northwest lifestyle, this position may be for you!

Kitimat General Hospital and Health Centre integrates acute care, residential care, public health and community health in one facility. The hospital contains 20 acute care beds, including 2 maternity beds. There is a local Orthopaedic surgeon and surgeons from Terrace (62km away) and other communities provide regular visiting service. C-sections are provided by a local Family Physician.

Public Health Team

Kitimat General Hospital hosts a regular rotation of visiting specialists in internal medicine, urology, ENT, dermatology, neurology, ophthalmology and radiology.

Vacation Leave 6-8 weeks annually, including CME May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 18.90% Retention Flat Fee $28,682 Relocation Funding Available $9,000-15,000 Recruitment Incentive $20,000 Other Benefits/Incentives Relocation: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada: $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC. CME - 2 weeks | MOCAP Estimate: $17,300-$33,000/yr | REEF Estimate: $15,200/yr
