Performer — Contemporary Art Project

We are looking for a performer to participate in an ongoing contemporary art project in Vancouver.

Created by poet and sound artist Sora Takayama, IZANAMI is an art project exploring Japanese aesthetics, poetry, experimental sound, movement, and visual expression.

No previous experience is required. We welcome applicants who are interested in contemporary art, creative performance, or artistic collaboration.

Responsibilities

- Attend private preparation sessions
- Participate in short film productions
- Collaborate creatively with the artist

Requirements

- 19+
- Reliable and respectful
- Comfortable working in a one-on-one creative workplace
- Interest in art and creative expression

Compensation

- Private preparation session: $100
- Film production session: $150
- Flexible schedule

A casual meeting will be arranged before participation to explain the project and answer any questions. Pay: $50.00-$75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 – 4.0 per week
