About Canada First Academy Canada First Academy (CFA) is dedicated to fostering soccer excellence and providing players with opportunities to grow through structured training programs. We are seeking a passionate and reliable Assistant Coach to support the Development Player Pathway, including our FUNdamentals and Pre-Elite Academy programs.

The Assistant Coach will work alongside the Head Coach and CFA coaching staff to deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions and help create a positive setting where young players can develop their technical, tactical, and physical skills.

Position Overview The Assistant Coach will support the delivery of CFA's Development Player Pathway. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young players, a passion for player development, and a willingness to learn and grow as a coach.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Player Development

- Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate training sessions.
- Support the development of ball mastery, passing, shooting, dribbling, receiving, and basic tactical awareness.
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive training environment.
- Provide players with encouragement and constructive feedback.
- Support small-sided games and activities.

Program Support
- Work closely with the Head Coach and other CFA coaches.
- Follow CFA coaching guidelines and development principles.
- Support player assessments and development opportunities.




- Help track player attendance and progress.
- Communicate professionally with players, parents, and other coaches.

Professional Development
- Continue developing coaching knowledge and skills through CFA mentorship and coaching education.
- Be willing to learn and apply new coaching methods and development practices.

Qualifications and Experience
- Ontario Soccer Fundamentals, Learn to Train, or Soccer for Life certification preferred.
- Coaching experience with youth players is an asset.
- Playing experience is an asset.
- Passion for working with children and developing young players.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive environment for players and families.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle to transport equipment is an asset.
