Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Dairy Queen restaurant.

Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high operational standards.

Schedule, supervise, and support employees during shifts to ensure efficient store operations.

Train new employees on company policies, food preparation, food safety, customer service, and operating procedures.

Monitor food quality, product presentation, and cleanliness to ensure Dairy Queen brand standards are consistently met.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.

Prepare, cook, and serve food products according to recipes and company quality standards.

Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety regulations.

Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and minimizing food waste.

Monitor labour costs, productivity, and assist in achieving sales and profitability goals.

Perform cash handling duties, including opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation, and bank deposits as required.

Ensure all Point of Sale (POS) transactions are processed accurately.





Assist with store opening and closing procedures and maintain security of company assets.

Support the Store Manager in implementing company policies, promotions, and operational initiatives.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service, restaurant, or hospitality environment is required.

Previous leadership, shift lead, supervisor, or assistant management experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food preparation, food safety, sanitation, and inventory control.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.

Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and daily cash reconciliation.

Basic computer skills and the ability to prepare schedules and operational reports are considered an asset.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
