North Star Motors is an established independent automotive repair shop serving a large and long-standing customer base in the Barrie area. We are looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join our team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently, and wants to work in a busy shop where quality and customer trust matter.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and component replacement
- Complete brake, suspension, steering, cooling, charging, starting, and other general repairs
- Perform inspections and identify required or recommended repairs
- Communicate findings clearly with the service team
- Maintain accurate repair information and job notes
- Keep the work area organized and follow proper shop procedures
- Work independently while supporting other technicians when required

Qualifications
- Previous professional automotive repair experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
- Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Valid Ontario driver's licence
- Own basic automotive tools




- Strong attention to detail and reliability

310S Automotive Service Technician certification is preferred, although experienced candidates at different stages of their automotive career may be considered.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
