Talos is looking for an experienced sales qualified to grow our business across the federal public sector.
You will build relationships with government buyers and decision makers, create qualified opportunities, and move those opportunities toward revenue.
Talos already has federal-government traction across training, technology, staffing, and related services. Your job is to build on that base, open new accounts, and help us win more business.
We are also open to credible opportunities beyond our current core areas where there is a strong commercial case.
What you'll do
- Build and develop relationships across priority federal accounts
- Create opportunities through direct outreach, introductions, referrals, events, partners, and existing relationships
- Lead discovery, qualification, and account development
- Identify and develop the procurement pathways required to turn qualified opportunities into executable business
- Advance opportunities from early conversation through proposal, negotiation, award, and expansion
- Build partnerships where they improve access, capability, or competitiveness
- Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and forecast
- Bring internal proposal, pricing, technical, and operational support into opportunities at the right time
You should understand how government can buy, identify the right path to purchase, and help develop new procurement access where it supports a real sales opportunity.
What we're looking for
You may come from government sales, public-sector account management, business development, capture, staffing, technology, consulting,
or another services-based sales environment. You should be comfortable identifying the procurement path, partnerships, or access needed to turn demand into business.
The strongest candidates will
- Have personally created and advanced business opportunities
- Be strong at discovery, qualification, relationship selling, and account development
- Know how to navigate large and complex organizations
- Understand long government buying cycles
- Have strong commercial judgment around timing, stakeholders, pricing, competition, and buying decisions
- Maintain strong CRM and pipeline discipline
- Communicate clearly and credibly in writing and in person
- Familiarity with federal procurement vehicles, Indigenous procurement, standing offers, supply arrangements, set-asides, and competitive processes is a strong asset.
Direct government sales experience is strongly preferred. Existing government relationships and familiarity with federal procurement are strong assets.
What success looks like:
- A growing pipeline of qualified opportunities
- New government accounts and buyer relationships
- Opportunities progressing consistently through the sales cycle
- Existing accounts producing follow-on business
- Reliable pipeline visibility and forecasting
- Profitable government revenue
Activity matters, but the result is revenue. What you get
- A meaningful role in building Talos' sales function
- Direct access to leadership
- Autonomy over account development
- Existing government business to build from
- Internal proposal, pricing, procurement, and delivery support
- The opportunity to influence where Talos grows next
About Talos Talos is a Canadian company headquartered in Victoria, BC, serving government clients across training, technology, talent, and public-sector operations.
We are 100 percent Indigenous-owned and continuing to expand our capabilities, partnerships, and relationships across the Canadian public sector.
