Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality beverages, and ensure a welcoming setting for all guests. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service setting, demonstrating strong time management and food safety practices.

Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position involves handling cash transactions using POS systems such as Micros POS and maintaining food safety standards throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Handle food preparation tasks including assembling beverages and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines during all food handling activities
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including basic math calculations for transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in the store
- Assist with serving food items when necessary and restocking supplies as needed




- Demonstrate effective time management to handle busy periods efficiently

Qualifications

- Previous barista experience or background in food service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Good food handling and food safety knowledge to ensure quality standards are met
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed
- Must have food safe certification
- Must have Serve Right certification
- Must be 19 or older
- Available saturdays, Sundays and at least 3 shifts through the week
