Overview

We are looking for a Barn Technician (Winnipeg-based or within 15 km) or to join our team. This role involves daily care and management of pigs to ensure their health, growth, and well-being. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal care.

Responsibilities

- Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of swine.
- Administer feed and water according to established schedules.
- Detect and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health concerns.
- Assist with breeding programs, including artificial insemination.
- Maintain clean and sanitary housing for pigs.
- Follow biosecurity and safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment as needed.
- Keep records of animal health, breeding, and feeding.

Experience

- Experience working with livestock,



preferably swine (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of animal husbandry, nutrition, and health management.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow farm protocols.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
