We are seeking a friendly and energetic Barista / All Rounder to join our vibrant team in New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Burnaby & Surrey. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with various food service tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and experience in customer-facing roles. This position offers an engaging setting where you can develop your skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Assist with food preparation and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Support team members in serving food and beverages efficiently during busy periods
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, ensuring proper hygiene practices are followed
Experience
- Previous 1 year barista experience is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Experience in the food industry or food service environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is desirable
