Maetche Construction is a locally owned and operated company building custom sheds, garages, and outdoor structures for homeowners throughout the Edmonton area. We’re growing our crew and are looking for a reliable carpenter to help us bring projects from the initial build through to completion.

This position would be a great fit for a Journeyman Carpenter or Apprentice Carpenter who enjoys hands-on construction, working outdoors, and seeing a finished project come together.

The Role

You’ll work alongside our construction crew building and installing custom outdoor structures at residential job sites. Projects vary from week to week, so you’ll have the opportunity to work with different materials, tools, layouts, and construction methods.

Your day-to-day work may include:

- Framing and assembling sheds and other outdoor structures
- Installing flooring, siding, roofing, doors, trim, and other components
- Working from construction drawings and project specifications
- Measuring, cutting, fastening, and assembling building materials
- Using a variety of cordless, pneumatic, and hand tools
- Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment
- Travelling to residential job sites throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities
- Working safely around ladders, elevated work areas, and construction equipment
- Keeping the work area organized and leaving completed jobs clean and presentable
- Working with the crew to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work,



and is comfortable working in a hands-on construction environment.

You should have

- Journeyman Carpenter certification or be currently enrolled in an apprenticeship
- Previous construction or carpentry experience
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- The ability to regularly lift and carry materials weighing 50+ lbs
- The ability to work from ladders and at heights
- Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment
- The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- A solid attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work independently while also being a team player

Compensation & Schedule
- Full-time, year-round position
- Wage based on experience and skill level
- Monday–Friday schedule, with overtime opportunities when required
- Outdoor construction work during the warmer months
- Indoor shop-based work during the winter
- Opportunities to gain experience and advance within the company

Tools & Safety Gear Employees are expected to have:
- CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots
- Safety glasses
- Work gloves
- Tool belt with basic hand tools
