Role Description The Cashier role at We Got U is a full-time, on-site position based in Calgary, AB. The cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer purchases, handling cash, debit, and credit transactions, and issuing receipts and change. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, answering basic product or store-related questions, maintaining a tidy checkout area, restocking small items near the register, and following store policies for returns and exchanges.

The role also involves monitoring price accuracy, reporting any discrepancies, and working closely with the store team to ensure a smooth customer experience.



Cashiers are expected to follow all safety and security procedures, protect customer information, and demonstrate a skilled, courteous attitude at all times.

Qualifications

- Ability to handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, with strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor with diverse customers.
- Reliability in following store procedures, including cash handling, returns, exchanges, and loss prevention guidelines.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage a fast-paced checkout environment, and perform light cleaning and organizing tasks.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role is an asset but not required.
- Comfort using point-of-sale (POS) systems and willingness to learn new store technologies and processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work adaptable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
