Job Overview

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Cashier / Customer Service Team Member to join our team at Damascus Fine Mediterranean Foods.

This role is an key part of creating a welcoming and positive experience for our customers. You will help customers place orders, answer menu questions, process payments, manage takeout and delivery orders, and work closely with the kitchen and service team.

We are looking for someone who is organized, respectful, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working with people.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly customer service.
- Help customers place orders and explain menu items when needed.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Answer phone calls and take customer orders over the phone.
- Manage online and third-party delivery orders.
- Pack and organize takeout and delivery orders accurately and on time.
- Communicate with delivery drivers and direct them to the appropriate waiting area.
- Work with kitchen and service staff to solve order-related issues.
- Keep the cashier and front counter area clean and organized.




- Handle cash and provide correct change.
- Stay organized and provide efficient service during busy periods.

Skills and Qualifications

- Friendly and positive attitude.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Good organization and time-management skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Comfortable using POS systems, phones, printers, and delivery tablets.
- Able to communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, and delivery drivers.
- Good phone etiquette.
- English-speaking required.
- Arabic-speaking is preferred.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
