About Hughes Intelligence

Established in 1994 and based in Sarnia, Ontario, Hughes Intelligence provides professional security services throughout Sarnia-Lambton. We are committed to maintaining high standards of training, professionalism and customer service.

We are currently recruiting licensed Casual / Event Security Guards to assist with upcoming events and temporary security coverage throughout Sarnia-Lambton.

Immediate availability is required for October 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Selected applicants will be contacted for interviews taking place during the week of September 28th.

Event Security Responsibilities

Depending on the event and assignment, responsibilities may include:

- Providing professional and friendly customer service to guests and the general public
- Monitoring entrances, exits and event areas, including checking identification and controlling access
- Monitoring crowds, restricted areas and event perimeters
- Conducting foot patrols and identifying potential safety or security concerns
- Completing accurate incident reports when required
- Working professionally as part of the event security team

Requirements

Applicants must have

- A valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Applicants must already be fully licensed. Expired licences or licences still being processed cannot be accepted.
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification
- Open availability for October 1st, 2nd and 3rd
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to interact professionally with the general public
- The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- The ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to scheduled work locations
- Solid observation skills and attention to detail
- A professional and dependable attitude
- The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team





Previous security, event, customer service, crowd management or public-facing experience is considered an asset.

Event security is highly customer-service focused. We are looking for individuals who are friendly, approachable and professional, while still being confident in enforcing event rules and security requirements when necessary.

Hours are not guaranteed. Work will be offered based on upcoming events, client requirements, employee availability and operational needs.

Additional casual shifts may become available following these dates based on upcoming events and coverage requirements.
