Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Personal Support Worker to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in various care settings. As a Certified Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care, promoting independence, and ensuring safety and comfort for those in need.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Provide compassionate care tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and health monitoring.
- Support patients with mobility challenges through safe lifting, transferring, and positioning techniques.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas and laundry.
- Document client progress, report any changes in health status to healthcare professionals, and adhere to care plans.




- Offer emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for clients with dementia or experiencing hospice care.

Requirements

- Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) from an accredited program or institution in Ontario
- Valid G2/G license
- Up-to-date: Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6-months)
- Up-t0-date: current FIRST AID / CPR
- Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments.
- Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration, dementia care, and hospice support.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or seniors requiring specialized care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining client comfort.
- Solid communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, as needed.
