The Children’s Fitness Centres of Canada (CFCC) is a values-driven organization dedicated to the long-term physical literacy, athletic development, and personal growth of children and youth.

Our cheerleading program is rapidly expanding, and we are seeking high-character, technically sound, and systems-oriented cheerleading coaches who take pride in teaching correctly, consistently, and safely.

This is not a freestyle coaching role.

CFCC operates using a formal cheerleading syllabus, structured lesson plans, and defined technical standards. These are followed exactly and are not optional.

If you prefer to design your own practices, improvise lesson content, or coach primarily from instinct or flair, this role will not be a good fit.

The Position

You will

- Teach pre-competitive cheerleading classes using CFCC’s formal syllabus and prescribed lesson plans
- Deliver instruction in a safe, technically sound, and developmentally appropriate manner




- Prepare for each class by reviewing lesson content and objectives in advance
- Maintain consistent standards of: Technique, Spotting, Safety, Language and Communication, and Class Structure & Pacing.
- Follow CFCC’s: Coaching Protocols, Safety Policies, and Professional Conduct Standards.
- Participate in scheduled: Coach Training Sessions, Team Meetings, Technical Development Workshops, and Performance Reviews.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with: Children, Parents, Fellow Coaches, and Program Leadership.

Non-Negotiable Expectations All CFCC cheerleading coaches are expected to:

- Follow the assigned syllabus and lesson plans exactly as written
- Teach skills using CFCC’s approved progressions and technical models
- Apply feedback and corrections consistently across classes
- Uphold CFCC’s safety, spotting, and risk-management standards
- Demonstrate punctuality, preparedness, and professionalism at all times
- Protect the integrity of the program by teaching in alignment with CFCC methodology

Deviation from syllabus, unauthorized skill progressions, or improvisation of class content is not permitted.

Required Qualifications

- Previous experience in competitive cheerleading (essential)
- Strong foundational technique in: Jumps, Tumbling Basics, Stunts, and Motion Technique.
- Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, assisting, tutoring, etc.)
- Ability and willingness to: Follow Structured Lesson Plans Precisely, Accept Technical Feedback, and Apply Corrections Consistently.
- High standards for professionalism, safety, and conduct.
