Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a full-time remote position responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring organizational goals are met efficiently and sustainably. The COO will lead operational planning, manage cross-functional teams, and streamline processes to support programs in displacement settings.

This role includes developing and implementing business plans, monitoring performance metrics, and overseeing budgeting, financial controls, and resource allocation. The COO will collaborate with the executive leadership to align operations with strategic priorities, manage risk,



and support compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. The position also involves building partnerships, supporting staff development, and contributing to a culture of accountability, learning, and inclusive engagement.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Operations Management, including process optimization, team coordination, and organizational systems.
- Demonstrated experience in Business Planning and strategic execution to support growth and mission-driven impact.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate program performance, and inform decision-making.
- Solid knowledge of Finance and Budgeting, including forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control.
- Proven leadership and people management abilities in multicultural, remote, or humanitarian settings.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration skills across diverse teams and partners.
- Experience in nonprofit, humanitarian, or displacement-related work is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
