Job Details

- Full-time (37.5 hours/week) Monday - Friday
- Base wage of $19.79 / hour
- Additional $2.00 Wage Enhancement, as applicable
- Company paid family benefits package after six months including optional company matched RSP contributions.

Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure all requirements of the CCEYA, DROC, and the MOH are followed regarding meal planning as well as health and safety in the kitchen.
- Maintain equipment and kitchen tools in a secure, clean, and sanitized manner.
- Ensure cooking, thawing, cooling, and warming of foods meet the requirements of the Durham Region Health Department.
- Ensure that risk management strategies are followed to maintain the health and safety of the children, educators, parents/guardians, and all visitors to the centre.

Requirements:
- Culinary Diploma an asset
- Related experience and/or education with children an asset
- Standard Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)



Certificate and Standard First Aid Certificate - Level C
- Current Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- 2 step TB test
- WHMIS, Health & Safety, AODA, and Food Handler's Safety Training.
