Cleaning Specialist & Production Support

Location: Alliston Creamery, 26 Dominion Street, Alliston, Ontario

Hours: 1:00 PM–7:00 PM or 12:00 PM–7:00 PM (flexible start time), 5 days per week

Additional Hours if interested up to 40 hours per week.

Status: Full-time Permanent

Starting Wage: $20.00/hour

About Us

Alliston Creamery (Golden Dawn) is a growing butter and dairy producer in Alliston, Ontario. We're expanding our production capacity and building a team that takes pride in food safety, quality, and keeping our facility running smoothly.

The Role

You'll be the afternoon/evening backbone of our facility keeping production areas clean, sanitized, and safe while supporting our production team when they need an extra set of hands. This is a hands-on position that blends facility maintenance with real production support.

The Role

As our Cleanroom Specialist, you're responsible for maintaining the sanitation and food safety standards that keep our production running smoothly. You'll manage facility cleaning, support equipment sanitation, and assist production staff as needed. This is a permanent, full-time position on our afternoon shift.

Your Responsibilities:

- Cleaning and sanitization of all production areas, equipment, and surfaces per HACCP protocols
- Equipment breakdown cleaning (post-production deep cleans on butter-making lines)
- Food-contact surface sanitation and validation
- Waste management, recycling,



and general facility maintenance
- Production team support: ingredient prep, equipment setup, packaging, inventory
- Documentation of cleaning schedules and sanitation completion
- Reporting safety or maintenance concerns
- Participation in food safety audits and validation activities

What We're Looking For

- Detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious
- Comfortable with sustained physical work (standing, lifting to 25 lbs)
- Willingness to learn food safety protocols and production equipment operation
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

- Previous dairy, food production, or food-safety environment experience
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety principles, or sanitation standards
- Commercial cleaning or equipment maintenance experience
