Alder Family Clinic is a new, patient-focused family medical clinic in Edmonton. We are seeking an experienced, highly organized and proactive Clinic Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic and support the development of efficient administrative and clinical workflows. The successful candidate will bring experience in healthcare administration and business analysis, together with strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the clinic.

Manage and coordinate administrative and non-administrative staff.

Develop and maintain efficient clinic workflows, processes and procedures.

Coordinate physician and staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage.

Monitor patient flow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient experience.

Oversee patient registration, appointment booking, check-in and check-out processes.

Assist with Alberta Health physician billing and other administrative billing processes.

Monitor clinic performance and prepare operational reports.

Apply business analysis and process-improvement principles to clinic operations.

Identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions.

Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of staff.

Manage clinic supplies, equipment and inventory.

Coordinate with vendors, pharmacies and external healthcare organizations.

Assist with payroll, staff timesheets and other administrative functions.





Maintain patient confidentiality and appropriate handling of medical records.

Support compliance with applicable Alberta healthcare, privacy and workplace requirements.

Work closely with physicians on clinic development, planning and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Post-secondary education in healthcare administration, business administration, business analysis or a related field.

Recognized Business Analysis certification, such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA or equivalent.

Previous experience working in a healthcare administration role.

Previous experience managing or supervising a medical clinic or healthcare facility.

Strong understanding of healthcare administrative processes and workflows

Experience supervising staff and coordinating teams.

Robust analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience with Ava EMR.

Strong computer and administrative skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands and take initiative.

Strong understanding of confidentiality and patient privacy requirements.

Preferred / Desirable Qualifications

Fluency in both English and French is highly desirable.

Medical Office Assistant (MOA) experience

Experience with Alberta healthcare systems, physician billing and EMR workflows

Experience in process improvement, quality improvement or healthcare business analysis

Experience working in a primary-care or family-practice environment

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
