Alberta Health Services, Department of Medicine, in conjunction with the University of Calgary invites applications for a FFS clinical rheumatologist.

90% clinical service in all areas of rheumatology ambulatory care, hospital inpatient and consultation. Weekend and weeknight call.

10% education in the Division of Rheumatology Residency Training Program (Fellowship and Resident Training) and the Cumming School of Medicine (Undergraduate Medical Education).

Be an integral part of the Rheumatology team in Calgary, utilizing strong collaborative skills to support and contribute to the overall clinical, research and education mission of the Section.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include

· MD, FRCPC (Rheumatology)

· Eligibility for licensure in the province of Alberta





· Established reputable excellence in clinical care and teaching of medical students and residents The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write, and speak English.

- Compensation: Fee for service. The physician is responsible for purchasing health and insurance benefits. In partnership with the Alberta Medical Association, AHS helps facilitate the retention benefit program for physicians. This program is used to encourage retention by giving physicians a financial incentive if they billed more than $80,000 in clinical income the previous calendar year and are still working as of January 1 of the current calendar year.

Alberta Medical

Association's Continuing Medical Education (CME) program reimburses physicians for expenses incurred during education sessions through an agreement between the Alberta Medical Association and Alberta Health. The annual allotment of $2,562.50 carries forward for three years.
