Job Summary The Team

As a Legal Assistant, you will support Crown Counsel in preparing prosecution case files for court proceedings. Working under the supervision of Crown Counsel and the Office Manager, you will perform a variety of legal services in a high-profile and fast-paced office. Your role requires flexibility, teamwork, tact, diplomacy, communication, and strong organizational skills to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely completion of responsibilities.

The Role

As a Legal Assistant, you will support Crown Counsel in preparing prosecution case files for court proceedings. Working under the supervision of Crown Counsel and the Office Manager, you will perform a variety of legal services in a high-profile and fast-paced office. Your role requires flexibility, teamwork, tact, diplomacy, communication, and strong organizational skills to ensure the effective, accurate, and timely completion of responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Experience working as an administrative or legal assistant in an office environment.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- Successful completion of an Administrative Assistant, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal certificate.
- Experience working as a Legal Assistant in a legal office.




- One year or more experience working as a Legal Assistant in a legal office.
- Experience working within the criminal justice sector.
- Experience working in the BC Prosecution Service.

About this Position:

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
