Field Service & Commissioning Technologist

Join our team as a Field Service & Commissioning Technologist, supporting the installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of industrial combustion systems and related process equipment. This hands-on role offers extensive field exposure, customer interaction, and opportunities for technical growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Commission, start up, and troubleshoot burners, boilers, heaters, and other fired equipment.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
- Support project execution, commissioning plans, reports, and technical documentation.
- Assist with installation, testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and mechanical assembly activities.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation, controls, and combustion system issues.
- Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and project teams.
- Support maintenance and repair of valves, transmitters, analyzers, VFDs, and other process control equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry codes and standards.

Qualifications

- Engineering Technology Diploma (Instrumentation, Electrical, or related discipline) or relevant Trades Certification.




- Class A Gasfitter certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with burners, combustion controls, boiler systems, power generation, or industrial process equipment is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, wiring schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in the field.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work in physically demanding industrial environments and participate in site-required Drug & Alcohol testing.
