Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated, and analytical Commercial Glazing Estimator to join our team in London, ON. In this role, you will analyze architectural blueprints, technical specifications, and tender documents to prepare exact material and labour cost estimates. You will collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and our internal operations team to secure competitive bids for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform detailed material and quantity take-offs from architectural drawings and specifications for windows, storefronts, curtainwalls, and interior/exterior glass systems.
- Acquire and analyze competitive quotes from key suppliers for glass fabrication, aluminum framing, specialty doors, and commercial hardware.
- Calculate accurate labor, material, and equipment costs to build complete, competitive project estimates and detailed budget summaries.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive project tenders and formal bid proposals before tight deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, general contractors, and manufacturing vendors.




- Review contract scopes upon project award to ensure accurate handoff to project managers and the engineering team.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a specific focus on commercial storefronts, curtainwalls, or architectural glass.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of glazing systems, aluminum framing, glass performance types, sealants, and complex commercial door hardware.
- Blueprint Proficiency: Proven ability to accurately read and interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and spec books.
- Software Skills: Experience using industry-specific estimating software (e.g., LogiKal, Glazier Studio, or similar) alongside Microsoft Excel.
- Attributes: Strong mathematical accuracy, exceptional organizational skills, and the capacity to juggle multiple deadlines seamlessly.
