Job Overview:

Tutor Doctor Calgary is looking for a personable and motivated individual to help spread the word about the outstanding services we offer families here in Calgary. As our Community Marketing Ambassador (CMA), you will be responsible for building relationships in our community, generating leads (which will hopefully become new clients!) along the way.

You will do this by conducting door to door outreach in the neighbourhoods we serve in SW and SE Calgary. Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to sell anything. All you have to do is request permission to place a Tutor Doctor lawn sign on private residential lawns.

We will teach you how to confidently and respectfully approach a homeowner, as well as how to identify which locations would be ideal for sign placement. You will also be expected to answer basic questions about how we work here at Tutor Doctor. We will provide the signs and a branded ID badge, as well as a tracking app to help keep you organised.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for creating good first impressions, as well as for building trust and goodwill with our neighbours.

We are looking for someone who has good communication skills and is comfortable with meeting many new people in quick succession.



Having a car and a valid drivers’ license is also a must for this role. If this sounds like you, please reach out! This may just be a good opportunity for you.

Requirements:

- Valid Alberta driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle.
- Availability on weekdays between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. You set your own schedule.
- Confident, personable, self motivated, and comfortable with door knocking
- Passion for education and helping students achieve their learning goals!

Hours: You set your own schedule. To start, we would expect 2 hours per day, three days per week, working between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, per your personal availability. If you’re a good fit, we will absolutely up those hours in a way that works for everyone.

Rate:

$20 per hour, plus a bonus of $20 per sign placed beyond proven and tested reasonable baseline of 3 signs per hour. For example, if you average 4 signs per hour (one above baseline), your effective rate will be $40 per hour.
