ational Paving Concrete Division is looking for an experienced and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our growing crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete on residential and commercial projects, including driveways, sidewalks, patios, slabs, curbs, and other concrete work.

Responsibilities

- Place, spread, level, and finish concrete
- Operate hand and power tools used for concrete finishing
- Use screeds, bull floats, hand floats, edgers, groovers, and other finishing tools
- Perform broom finishes and other specified surface finishes
- Cut and install control joints as required
- Edge and detail concrete surfaces
- Monitor concrete during placement and finishing to achieve the required finish
- Assist with placing and positioning reinforcing steel, wire mesh, and other materials
- Check grades, slopes, and elevations during concrete placement
- Work closely with form setters, labourers, equipment operators, and other crew members
- Complete concrete repairs and touch-ups when required
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment
- Follow project specifications and company quality standards
- Follow all company and jobsite safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties related to concrete construction as required

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a concrete finisher is preferred
- Experience with residential and/or commercial concrete projects
- Robust understanding of concrete placement and finishing techniques
- Ability to achieve consistent grades, slopes, and finishes
- Knowledge of concrete timing, setting, and finishing procedures
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a crew
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship




- Physically capable of working on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding conditions
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's licence is an asset

Physical Requirements This position is physically demanding and requires:
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing
- Lifting and carrying concrete tools and materials
- Working on uneven surfaces
- Working outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs as required

Safety Requirements Employees are required to follow National Paving's safety policies and wear all required PPE, including:
- CSA-approved work boots
- High-visibility shirt or vest
- Hard hat when required
- Safety glasses
- Appropriate work clothing and other PPE required by the jobsite
