National Paving Concrete Division is looking for an experienced and reliable Concrete Form Setter to join our growing crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and preparing concrete forms for driveways, sidewalks, curbs, slabs, patios, and other concrete projects.

Responsibilities

- Set, layout, and secure concrete forms according to project specifications
- Read and understand grades, elevations, slopes, and measurements
- Establish proper lines, levels, grades, and drainage slopes
- Measure and calculate form dimensions and material requirements
- Install and secure wood and other forming materials
- Prepare subgrade and ensure proper base elevations before concrete placement
- Assist with grading, compacting, and site preparation as required
- Check forms for proper alignment, elevation, dimensions, and slope
- Install rebar, wire mesh, expansion joints, and other reinforcing materials as required
- Work closely with concrete finishers, labourers, and equipment operators
- Make adjustments to forms and grades as required throughout the project
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Operate small equipment and hand tools as required
- Perform other duties related to concrete construction as required

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience setting concrete forms is preferred
- Experience with residential and/or commercial concrete work
- Strong understanding of grades, elevations, slope, and drainage
- Ability to read measurements and use a level, laser, string line, and other layout tools
- Ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions




- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver's licence is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Reliable transportation to the shop/jobsite is preferred

Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position that requires:
- Frequent lifting and carrying of materials
- Bending, kneeling, crouching, and working on uneven surfaces
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Working outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs as required

Safety Requirements All employees are expected to follow National Paving's safety policies and wear required PPE, including:
- CSA-approved work boots
- High-visibility shirt or vest
- Hard hat when required
- Safety glasses
- Appropriate work clothing and other PPE as required by the jobsite
