Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with project teams to ensure bids are competitive and comprehensive. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget, fueling our growth and reputation in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

- Develop exact and comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
- Utilize estimating software such as Stack, HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms.
- Review project drawings and specifications thoroughly to identify potential challenges or cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare bid packages, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, correspondence, and supporting documentation for future reference.




- Assist in project management activities by providing cost analysis updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Excellent project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Deep knowledge of construction pricing strategies, labor rates, material costs, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Construction experience across various project types is a plus; a background in heavy civil or commercial projects is desirable.
