Construction Labourer – Commercial / Civil

Fort St. John, BC | $25–$30/hour | Full-Time, Permanent, Year-Round The Role

We’re hiring Construction Labourers for hands-on work across commercial, industrial, concrete, and civil projects in and around Fort St. John.

Our client is a family-owned general contractor based in Fort St. John, serving Northern BC since 1999. They have a long-term core team, year-round workload, and are looking for people who want to build lasting careers.

Responsibilities & Expectations

- Field Work: Perform general construction labour across concrete, civil, carpentry, and other project work as needed.

- Adaptability: Move between different types of construction work as projects and priorities change.

- Work Ethic & Reliability: Work hard, maintain a strong pace, work safely, and be dependable on site.

Requirements

MANDATORY

- Driver’s Licence / Transportation: Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to the yard or local jobsite.

- Location: Able to work in Fort St. John and surrounding areas without regular living-out allowance or relocation support.

- Work Authorization:



Legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.

- Drug & Alcohol: Able to pass drug and alcohol testing when required by the project or site.

PREFERRED

- Relevant Experience: Previous construction, civil, concrete, carpentry, or related field experience.

- Safety Training: First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS/CSO, or other relevant construction safety training.

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits

- Compensation: $25–$30/hour

, based on experience and capability.

- Overtime: Overtime after 8 hours.

- Schedule: Typically 7:00 AM–5:00/6:00 PM in summer, with Saturdays commonly required, and 7:00 AM–4:00/5:00 PM in winter, generally Monday–Friday.

- Benefits: Full benefits after 3 months, including dental, extended health, vision, disability insurance, employee assistance program, RRSP match, and wellness program. Employer pays 60% of the benefit cost.

- In office Parking: Available.

- Travel: Most projects are local. For qualifying out-of-town work, transportation, accommodation, and applicable living-out allowance are provided.

- Start: ASAP.
