We built Oyster Group to be a place for people who want to learn the craft of strategic communications from the inside: juggling real client files, sharpening their writing, and getting smarter about how politics and media actually work. You'll be the engine room of our client teams, working closely with senior colleagues and building the skills that shape a career in public affairs and communications.

The Work We Do

Every day is different. That’s the point. At Oyster, you’ll be part of a team that:

· Coordinates the day-to-day on client files: keeping timelines, deliverables, and details on track

· Builds and maintains media lists, and monitors coverage so clients and the team stay ahead of the story

· Supports media training and prep for client spokespeople

· Drafts communications materials that are clear and on-strategy (media pitches, key messages, backgrounders)

· Helps manage social and digital content, bringing a digital-first eye to client work

· Pitches in on research and file coordination across the team's broader public affairs work

What We’re Looking For

We hire people who are sharp, curious, and want to grow fast. You’ll thrive here if you bring:





· 3-5 years of experience in communications, public affairs, or a related consulting environment

· A genuine curiosity about political and world events. You don't need to be a political animal, but you should follow what's going on

· Sharp, clean writing and a positive editing eye

· Excellent organizational skills and comfort juggling multiple files at once

· A team-first, get-it-done attitude. You're ready to be the person who makes things happen

· Some digital/social media savvy is a plus
