Continuing Education Teacher – Dynamics in Human Relationships (HHD30)

LOCATION: Holy Angels Learning Centre, Sault Ste. Marie, ON

SCHEDULE: September 29, 2026 to April 13, 2027 – Tuesday evenings, 4pm – 7:30pm

RATE OF PAY: $57.98/hour

This program is intended to accommodate and support adult learners participating in the LEAP Program through Social Services. This position is dependent on sufficient student enrolment in the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Liaise with various personnel from the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board (Ontario Works, Early Years, Housing, EMS, LEAP team)
- Assess and evaluate the progress of engaged adult students where applicable
- Maintain accurate records of contacts and student attendance
- Work collaboratively with the principal and staff of Holy Angels Learning Centre
- Assist with completion of registration forms
- Assist with serving adult learners and children with nutrition prior to learning

QUALIFICATIONS

- Intermediate and Senior Divisions, Social Sciences

- Integration of Information and Computer Technology in Instruction, Part 1




- Religious Education in Catholic Schools, Part 1

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

- Knowledge/familiarity of Google Classroom and the LMS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and interdependently
- Ability to connect with various members of our community
- Ability to travel within the city of Sault Ste. Marie

This position is open to permanent teachers and certified occasional teachers currently employed by the Board.
