Responsibilities

- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and packages to various destinations within your assigned route
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring secure handling of all items
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and heavy equipment to maintain safety standards and identify maintenance needs
- Navigate efficiently using GPS or route maps to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules, address concerns, and provide excellent service




- Assist with basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime during deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and asset protection records for all shipments handled

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating company vehicles
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling for loading and unloading freight
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for secure transportation of goods
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting mechanical issues when necessary
- Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently and keep detailed records
