Duties

- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight and packages to multiple destinations
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate documentation for all shipments
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal vehicle performance
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to guarantee secure transportation of goods




- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance activities

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving or courier services with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is highly desirable
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the go
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps efficiently in urban or rural settings
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation and compliance
