Role Summary

Kristian Electric is looking for an Estimator to join our Saskatoon branch. As an Estimator, you will manage estimating costs for services and repairs while maintaining a professional level of customer communication and satisfaction. Knowledge of crane parts, hoists, services, and warranties is an asset, and will be learned on the job.

The successful candidate will be:

- Reliable and organized with maintaining and working with project deadlines and customer requests
- An exceptional customer relationship builder
- Able to work independently and in a rapid-paced environment
- Safety focused

Key Responsibilities

- Review customer supplied specs and build estimates based on. This may include relaying requirements to other members of the team such as HSE, Shop Supervisor, Project Manager, and Engineer.
- Get component pricing and work with procurement to get the right parts to build quotes.
- Take inquiries from Customers via email, phone calls, or in person
- Visit customer sites as required
- Keep records of quotes and all associated work for recall at later dates.
- Help with other projects where required.

Education Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.




- Technical schooling that includes Estimating, Purchasing, or Welding would help.

Experience and Qualifications Required

- Estimating or shop experience would be favorable
- 2 years in a customer service role within a sales or retail environment.
- Computer skills including Word and Excel. Knowledge of Teams and the rest of MS365 would be good.
- A Valid non-GDL license and minimum 3 year clean driving abstract are required for use of company vehicles. This would include any site visits.

- Ability to interact with Customers, business associates, and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to work with confidential information. Sometimes with signed NDAs.
- Mechanically inclined with a basic knowledge of fabrication.
- Electrical knowledge would be a bonus.
- Detail oriented and well organized.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Punctual, reliable, with good attendance.
- This is not a remote job.
- Ability to handle some stressful high paced situations with the ability to shift priorities for time management.
- Ability to function as part of a team while accepting direction and/or requesting help where necessary.
- Positive attitude towards learning and difficult situations.
- Safety Awareness.

Kristian Electric Ltd. is located at 710 46th Street East, Saskatoon, SK. Hours of operation are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Some overtime may be required.
