This posting will be used to fill 3 (three) auxiliary on call positions working 75 hours bi-weekly.

It will establish a 3-month eligibility list

As a Critical Care Paramedic, this position will be based in Whitehorse and be required to provide coverage for shortages in communities with various crews and working a variety of shifts based on operational requirements.

This opportunity

Reporting to the Superintendent,



Air Ambulance the Critical Care Paramedic will employ skilled Critical Care Life Support skills to provide pre-hospital and inter-facility treatment and transportation to the general population. Evaluates the patient's clinical condition and performs detailed assessments in order to establish a treatment plan in support of optimal patient care. Works in environments where there is no medical support and where transport times routinely exceed four hours.

- Current CCP/ACP license or certification with a paramedic governing body in Canada without conditions or restrictions
- Recent experience delivering pre-hospital emergency care at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level
