Cable Control Systems Inc. (CCS) is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Underground Utility Locators. We are hiring both experienced locators and individuals who are new to the industry.

Experienced Locators

Experienced underground utility locators are encouraged to apply. Wages are negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and the types of utilities you are experienced in locating.

No Experience? No Problem.

Previous utility locating experience is not required. CCS provides comprehensive, paid training to successful candidates.

- Training wage: $20.00 per hour
- Upon successful completion of training and satisfaction of the requirements of our Quality Assurance Program, wages will increase based on the candidate's performance review.

Our training program provides you with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely and accurately perform underground utility locates. Qualifications & Skills The following qualifications and experience would be considered an asset but are not required:
- Survey experience
- AutoCAD experience
- GIS experience
- Education or experience reading schematics or technical drawings

Advanced computer skills are required, as locators are responsible for completing digital sketches and documentation as part of their daily duties. A valid Ontario Class G driver's license with a clean driving abstract is required.

Physical Requirements

This is an outdoor, field-based position. Successful candidates must:
- Be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions




- Be physically capable of walking distances throughout the workday
- Be able to work on diverse and sometimes rugged terrain
- Be able to carry equipment weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Be comfortable working independently in the field

Equipment & Work Environment CCS provides all equipment required to perform your duties, including a company vehicle.

All work is completed at assigned job sites or remotely from the field. There is no requirement to work from home or from an office.

Training Location & Work Area

Successful candidates will begin their training process at our North York location.

Following training, work will be performed throughout York Region, with opportunities available across the region, including:

- Georgina
- East Gwillimbury
- Newmarket
- Aurora
- Richmond Hill
- King
- Vaughan
- Markham
- Whitchurch-Stouffville
- Surrounding York Region communities
