Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight and packages across designated routes.
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of all goods.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are met before each journey.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and records of freight movement for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor vehicle issues to minimize downtime on routes.




- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or other industrial machinery is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to operate basic automotive repair tools or perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages or freight regularly during loading and unloading processes.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate deliveries effectively and provide exceptional customer service.
