Stillwater Community Living is recruiting Disability Support Workerto provide safe, respectful and person-centred support to adults with developmental disabilities and varying levels of support needs.

We are growing our residential team and are looking for compassionate, dependable Disability Support Workers to join us.

Duties

- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to foster independence and dignity
- Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols to ensure safety and health
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support community participation, recreation and appointments.
- Support communication, choice-making and social engagement.
- Monitor and report changes in health, behaviour and well-being.
- Communicate relevant information with supervisors and other members of the support team.
- Promote dignity, independence, choice, inclusion and quality of life.
- Document client progress, incidents, and care activities accurately to maintain comprehensive records for ongoing support plans

- Solid patient care skills with a focus on dignity, respect, and personalized attention
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and families
- Compassionate attitude combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to complete clear,



accurate and timely documentation.

Qualification & Experience

Experience in any of the following is an asset:

- Diploma or degree in Disability Studies, Community Rehabilitation, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Health Care Aide or a related discipline.
- Experience working in residential or community-living environments.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, complex or high-support needs.
- Positive Behaviour Support experience.
- Crisis-prevention/intervention training.
- Medication Administration training.

Equivalent relevant frontline experience will be considered where a candidate does not hold a related post-secondary credential.

Successful applicants must be able to:

- Complete required background and vulnerable sector checks.
- Provide professional references.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
