Experienced ECE Teacher – Outdoor/Nature-Based Childcare

We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our outdoor-focused childcare facility.

We are seeking someone who is confident, responsible, energetic, and experienced working with young children, particularly in an outdoor or nature-based workplace.

Please do not apply if you have only recently completed your ECE program and have little or no professional childcare experience. We are specifically looking for an educator with a strong background and practical experience working in a licensed childcare setting.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Several years of professional ECE experience
- Experience working in a licensed childcare or daycare setting
- Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate programming
- Experience planning and leading activities for children
- A genuine interest in outdoor learning, nature, and exploration
- Comfortable spending extended periods outdoors in different weather conditions
- Ability to supervise children safely during outdoor activities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude




- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- A strong understanding of health, safety, hygiene, and childcare regulations
- Current ECE certification/registration and all required credentials

Outdoor/Nature-Based Experience

Our program places a strong emphasis on outdoor play and learning. Children spend significant time outside exploring nature, playing, learning, and developing practical skills.

Experience with forest school, outdoor education, nature-based programming, farm activities, hiking, gardening, or similar outdoor childcare programs would be an asset.

We are looking for an educator who enjoys being active and can create meaningful learning experiences both inside and outdoors.
