Qualifications

- Hold a valid ECEA License
- Valid First aid certificate with CPR-C
- Clear criminal record check
- Minimum one year experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred but not required
- Experience or willingness to work in all of our programs. We currently have one IT program, three 3-5 programs and two OSC programs.
- Be flexible with shift hours, they will range between 7am and 5pm and will be where and as needed in programs to cover staff sick days, vacation days and appointments.
- Well-versed in BC Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulations and able to follow and maintain licensing requirements

Responsibilities

- Assist lead educators in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through engaging activities and positive interactions
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment at all times
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and encouraging participation
- Communicate effectively with children, parents,



and team members to promote a collaborative atmosphere
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance
- Use computer skills to document observations, update records, and assist with administrative tasks as needed

Experience

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage classroom materials and documentation efficiently
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and teaching strategies is advantageous.
