Tree Tops Daycare believes every child deserves a chance to explore the world around them and enjoy the natural curiosities the world has to offer. We are looking for educators that:

Requirements:

· ECE certificate

· First Aid Training: CPR and AED level C

· Must be 19 or older

· Criminal record/vulnerable sector check and social development check

· Organized/ good time management

· Own means of transportation

· Responsible and reliable

· Dedication to child’s learning and well being

· Ensure care to all children

Duties:

· Educators are responsible for the supervision and safety of the children at all times.





· Educators are responsible for providing the children with a variety of developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day.

o Activities need to scaffold their learning based on the NB Curriculum Framework.

o Plans and activities should be altered to include every child.

· Educators who have their ECE are expected to utilize their training in all aspects of the curriculum and their routine

· Models’ appropriate behavior and practices positive child guidance

· Ensure that confidentiality is always maintained

· Understands and complies with: Recent Brunswick Childcare Facilities Standards, Family Service Act, Child Abuse and Neglect Protocol Practices

· Understands and complies with New Brunswick Curriculum Framework and the Tree Tops Daycare philosophy.

· Participates in professional development to provide quality care

· Maintains a positive and friendly working environment

· Maintains positive and friendly relationships with staff, families and the children

· Supports and practices inclusion o Able to modify the classroom/planning to support the needs of each child and diverse students

· Ability to document children’s learning

· Ensure that all documentation is completed correctly and adhere to record keeping as outlined by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

· Desire to take pride in your own work and environment

Pay: $17.12-$27.79 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
