Responsibilities

- Assist lead teachers in implementing educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth of children
- Support children with daily routines including meal times, naps, and hygiene practices
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere by encouraging participation and respectful interactions
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative learning environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of children’s progress, attendance, and behavioral observations
- Use computer skills to update records and assist with classroom management tools




- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as needed

Requirements

- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus for bilingual communication
- Prior experience working with children in childcare or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of child development principles and experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Robust communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Basic computer operation skills for record keeping and classroom management software
- Classroom experience demonstrating leadership, organization, and time management abilities
- Passion for teaching, patience, and the ability to foster a nurturing environment
- Relevant certifications in childcare or early childhood education are preferred but not mandatory
