We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in Alberta on a fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) basis with a 14-day rotation. The successful candidate will work alongside the Resident Engineer as a Project Manager, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems critical to mining operations and infrastructure projects including power distribution, lighting, and equipment automation. This position offers an exciting for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the efficiency and safety of mining project while developing leadership and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

· Electrical Schematics Development: Create detailed electrical schematics for systems and equipment, utilizing CAD software to ensure precise designs that meet project specifications.

· Review of Electrical Schematics: Examine and validate electrical schematics created by other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and safety standards.

· Design of Electrical Systems:



Design and develop electrical systems tailored to mining operations, including component selection, circuit configuration, and integration of systems.

· Performance Analysis: Assess electrical system performance under operating conditions and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

· Project Management: Contribute to the planning and management of electrical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.

· Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies for the implementation of new electrical technologies and equipment, analyzing potential benefits, challenges, and impacts on existing systems.

· Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate closely with mechanical, civil, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into larger projects.

· Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and analysis reports for electrical systems.

· Staff Training: Train teams on the use, maintenance, and safety of electrical equipment to ensure full understanding of procedures and best practices.

· Risk Management: Identify potential electrical risks and implement mitigation measures to ensure the safety and reliability of operations on-site.





Qualifications & Requirements:

- At least a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- P.Eng designation is preferable (or eligibility for registration with APEGA).
- 0-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the mining industry.
- Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools.
- Experience with electrical circuit design and development.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation safety and mathematical computing tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design software is an asset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to sites and perform shift work when necessary.
- Familiarity with company safety regulations and industry standards.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
