Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Inspector role based in Winnipeg, MB.

The Electrical

Inspector will perform inspections of electrical products and installations to verify compliance with relevant codes, standards, and certification requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing technical documentation, conducting field evaluations, preparing detailed inspection reports, and communicating findings to clients in a clear and professional manner. The role involves collaborating with engineering and certification teams, supporting clients through the approval process, and maintaining accurate records of inspections and test results.

The Electrical





Inspector is expected to follow established safety procedures, stay current with applicable regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement of inspection practices.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations relevant to product safety and field inspections.
- Experience with electrical equipment used in hazardous locations, industrial control systems, or alternative energy applications.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and product specifications.
- Proficiency in conducting inspections, testing, and documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and interacting with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in assessing compliance and identifying nonconformities.
- Ability to work safely in office, including in industrial or field environments, and to follow all safety protocols.
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline; relevant certifications or journeyperson electrician status are an asset.
- Prior experience in product certification, testing, or inspection is preferred; familiarity with IEC, CSA, UL, and related standards is beneficial.
- Comfort using common office and technical software for reporting, data entry, and document management.
