THE OPPORTUNITY

With exciting new opportunities and partnerships, Impact is seeking an Electrical Journeyperson, to join our Oil & Gas and Service Team, based out of our Rosetown, SKlocation. The Journeyperson will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment across a range of site types, including oil and gas, agriculture, farm, and commercial. This role works with significant autonomy, manages materials and client communication directly, and actively mentors apprentices on the crew.

Unlike a project site Journeyman who operates within a larger crew structure, this role is often the most senior person on a call. The work gets planned, organized, and executed here, the client is kept informed here, and the apprentice learns the trade here. When a Journeyman in this role does their job well, clients come back, estimates improve, and the next generation of electricians gets better.

- Hold a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Construction Electrician
- A willingness to learn new skills
- Eagerness to be great and grow
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- A safety advocate
- Complete a Driver’s Abstract Check, and Criminal Record Check

THE WORK Well, we do a lot of things Oil & Gas, Mining, Agriculture, Commercial, but today we are focusing on Oil & Gas and Light Industrial. Here we go!

- Operating the trencher and other power tools, equipment, and measuring and testing devices
- Pulling and terminating wire
- Installing cable trays and other electrical equipment
- Building and laying conduit
- Troubleshooting and issues that arise
- Executing maintenance agreements
- Ensuring electrical equipment installs meet or exceed code and manufacturer requirements
- Completing safety documentation
- Assisting with shop clean up and maintenance
- Maintaining cleanliness of the work site
