Porter Office Services is looking for experienced Architectural Wall and Glass Wall Installers for commercial projects throughout Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

We are looking for installers with hands-on experience installing demountable architectural walls, glass wall systems, doors, frames and related commercial interior components.

The working arrangement may be either employment or independent contractor, depending on experience, availability and what is mutually agreed upon during the interview process.

Pay: $30.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and working arrangement.

Responsibilities include

- Install architectural and demountable wall systems
- Install framed and frameless glass wall panels
- Install tracks, frames, posts, doors, hardware and related components
- Read floor plans, elevations, shop drawings and installation drawings
- Complete wall layouts using lasers, levels and measurements
- Measure and verify openings before installation
- Safely handle and install glass panels
- Install and adjust glass doors and hardware
- Identify and correct installation deficiencies
- Protect customer property and finished surfaces
- Maintain a clean and protected work area
- Work professionally with other installers, supervisors, contractors and customers

Experience with systems such as DIRTT, Falkbuilt, Teknion Altos, Steelcase V.I.A., Maars, Haworth Enclose, KI Lightline, Opti or similar architectural wall systems is an asset.

Requirements

- Previous architectural wall, demountable wall or commercial glass installation experience
- Ability to read drawings and accurately measure and layout installations
- Experience using laser levels and common installation equipment
- Good understanding of proper glass-handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and finish quality
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to troubleshoot installation issues on site
- Able to safely lift and handle installation materials
- Able to work independently and as part of a team




- Must have your own standard hand and power tools required for installation work
- Specialty tools and equipment required for specific projects will be provided
- Valid driver's licence preferred
- Reliable transportation is an asset

Most projects are completed during regular weekday hours, but some projects may require early starts, evenings, weekends, overtime or occasional out-of-town work. We value experienced installers who take pride in their work, arrive prepared and on time, work safely and pay attention to the final details of every installation.

Applicants who can independently complete installations or lead crews may qualify for higher compensation and additional responsibility.
