Full-Time Housekeeping Attendant The George Dawson Inn & Conference Centre is a family-owned hotel in Dawson Creek, BC. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Full-Time Housekeeping Attendant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our guest rooms, common areas, and other assigned areas of the hotel to a clean and comfortable standard. This is a hands-on position in a busy hotel workplace where reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently are very important.

Position Details

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 32–40 hours per week, depending on hotel occupancy and operational needs

Schedule: Must have open availability during the week. Schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

IMPORTANT: We are looking for someone with open availability and no ongoing scheduling restrictions. This position is not suitable for applicants who are only available on weekends, have limited weekday availability, or have restrictions on the number or timing of hours they can work.

Work Authorization: Applicants must already have valid authorization to work in Canada. The George Dawson Inn does not provide sponsorship and does not participate in regional immigration or regional pathway programs for this position.

Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Clean and maintain all common areas and other assigned hotel areas.
- Make beds and change linens.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and tubs.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces.
- Empty wastebaskets and take garbage to the outside dumpsters.
- Keep housekeeping rooms and storage areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Launder bedding, towels, and other hotel linens.
- Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment.
- Clean banquet rooms and other assigned areas when required.
- Wash dishes, clean countertops,



and organize cupboards when required.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, missing items, or other concerns to the supervisor.
- Communicate when cleaning supplies, equipment, or other materials are needed.
- Follow hotel procedures, health and safety requirements, and instructions from supervisors.
- Work as part of a team to ensure guest rooms and common areas are ready for guests.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward guests and coworkers.
- Complete assigned cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining the hotel's standards.

Requirements
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required.
- Candidates with other professional cleaning experience may be considered.
- Applicants with no previous housekeeping or professional cleaning experience may be considered only in exceptional circumstances.
- Previous experience working in a hotel or similar busy environment is preferred.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to follow instructions and hotel cleaning standards.
- Good verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be physically able to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive hand and foot movements.
- Must have open weekday availability with no ongoing scheduling restrictions.




- Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays when required.
- Must be flexible with scheduling based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
- Must already have valid authorization to work in Canada.

Hours and Availability This is a full-time position with approximately 32–40 hours per week, depending on hotel occupancy and operational needs.

Our business can change throughout the year, so hours may vary. Employees must be available to work when the hotel requires coverage, including during busy periods, weekends, holidays, and other operationally necessary times.
