K Tec Industries Inc. is a locally owned, directional drilling company that has provided services to many oilfield and utility companies for almost 30 years. We are a growing company and are looking for the right candidate to join our team.

We are currently hiring for the position of HDD Driller/Locator preferably with a class 1 licence . We offer competitive wages and benefits. Wage will be based upon experience and credentials.

Duties

- Operate HDD Rig and/or Operate and locate for horizontal directional drilling rigs
- Follow drilling plans and specifications provided by project managers
- Monitor drilling operations to ensure safety and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities

Qualifications:
- Experience operating Vermeer 100,000lb drill and Ditch Witch 30k and 40k
- Must have First Aid, H2S, , ESC CSO, and Ground Disturbance
- Class 1 licence considered an asset
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for operating drilling equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drilling plans and specifications




- Solid attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in outdoor environments at all times of year
- Excellent problem -solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Speak and write fluent English - Willing and able to pass a drug test as well as criminal record check.

Note: Prior experience as a driller or locator is a must. At our company, we offer competitive pay rates, opportunities for career advancement, and a supportive work environment. The wage is $45-$50 an hour , depending on experience. We offer benefit packages after three months of employment.
