Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Pet Groomer to join our new pet care store in Burnaby. We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, genuinely cares about animals, and takes pride in providing safe, high-quality grooming services.

The ideal candidate has professional grooming experience and is comfortable handling dogs of different breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments.

Pay: $22–$28 per hour, based on experience, plus tips.

Responsibilities

- Provide full grooming services, including bathing, blow-drying, brushing, de-shedding, nail trimming, haircuts, and styling.
- Groom dogs of different breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments.
- Assess coat and skin condition and identify any concerns before or during grooming.
- Handle pets safely and patiently throughout the grooming process.
- Communicate with pet owners about grooming preferences and any concerns noticed during the appointment.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area.
- Clean and sanitize grooming tools and equipment after use.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.




- Assist with maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment for pets and their owners.

Qualifications
- Previous professional pet grooming experience is required.
- Ability to independently complete full-service grooms from start to finish.
- Knowledge of different coat types, breed-specific cuts, and grooming techniques.
- Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments.
- Patient, gentle, and attentive when working with animals.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Grooming certification is an asset but not required.
- Portfolio or photos of previous grooming work are preferred.
