Position Title: Floor Manager

Reports To: Operations Manager

Position Overview The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store floor, driving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on leader who can supervise staff, maintain inventory integrity, enforce store policies, process incoming inventory, and support sales growth in a specialized vape retail environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Floor Leadership & Operations

- Supervise, coach, and motivate floor staff to ensure adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Oversee day-to-day store execution, including opening and closing routines.
- Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues with professionalism and urgency.
- Ensure completion of daily floor duties, including general cleaning, store organization, and stockroom maintenance.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards to create an engaging customer environment.

1. Product Receiving & Order Processing

- Shipment Receiving: Inspect all incoming deliveries upon arrival for package integrity, correct box counts, and potential transit damage.
- Invoice & Order Verification: Cross-check received shipment contents against packing slips, purchase orders, and vendor invoices to verify accuracy in item quantities, flavors, nicotine strengths, and device variants.
- System Entry: Receive and process vendor invoices into the company’s point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management system promptly upon arrival to maintain real-time stock counts.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Log and report any shipping errors, damaged goods, or missing items immediately to the Purchasing Manager and vendor contact.
- Unpacking & Stocking: Oversee the swift unboxing, tagging/barcoding, and distribution of new stock to either the sales floor display or designated stockroom storage areas.

1. Inventory & Supply Chain Management





- Monitor inventory levels and oversee regular stock counts to prevent shortages.
- Fill out order forms and place product orders to ensure the store is fully stocked across all categories.
- Maintain stock rotation standards (FIFO - First In, First Out), monitor product trends, and share market insights with the Purchasing Manager.
- Keep stockrooms organized, secure, and clearly labeled to streamline daily restocking activities.

1. Team Performance & Reporting

- Train recent team members on product knowledge, operational workflows, and customer service expectations.
- Provide routine status updates to the Operations Manager regarding store performance, operational roadblocks, and staff issues.
- Handle employee relation matters and performance management on the floor.
- Disciplinary Reporting Procedure: Floor Managers hold the authority to issue official written warnings for performance issues, shift absenteeism, or policy non-compliance. Upon issuing a second warning to an employee, the Floor Manager must write a detailed formal report outlining the situation and submit all related documentation to Upper Management for review.

Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience: Proven supervisory or management experience in a retail environment (vape or specialty retail experience preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, inventory processing, and vendor invoice reconciliation software.
- Core Skills: Strong leadership, attention to detail, verbal/written communication, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities.
- Industry Acumen: Understanding of stock ordering processes, shipment receiving protocols, inventory rotation, and current vape industry trends.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and unbox inventory containers (up to 40–50 lbs) regularly.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a varied retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
