Floral Design & Sales Associate

Location: MacArthur’s Flower Shop Ltd.

Reports to: Design Lead / Retail Sales Lead

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Floral Design & Sales Associate to join our team. This position combines hands-on floral design with customer service, sales, order taking, and general shop support.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Floral Design

- Create floral arrangements that meet MacArthur’s quality and design standards
- Complete everyday orders, special requests, and event work accurately and on time
- Follow design direction while working efficiently and minimizing product waste
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe design area

Customer Service & Sales

- Greet and assist customers in person and by phone
- Help customers select flowers, arrangements, gifts, and other products
- Take and enter orders accurately, including delivery details and special instructions
- Clearly communicate pricing, options, availability, and timelines
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and compassionately

Team & Shop Support

- Communicate effectively with the design, sales, delivery, and operations teams
- Support merchandising, restocking,



and general shop upkeep
- Work collaboratively and assist teammates during busy periods
- Remain calm, organized, and professional during high-volume periods
- Follow established shop procedures and standards

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of professional floral design experience required
- Strong floral design skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using floral tools and working on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Retail and POS experience is an asset
- Availability for weekends, holidays, and peak floral seasons as required

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
